Job Responsibilities and Requirements

The Oncology Navigator RN is responsible for evaluating patient qualifications for clinical research studies. The Oncology Navigator RN is responsible for collaboration, facilitation, and implementation of research projects and provides direct clinical service to patients and families including psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, supportive therapy, behavior modification, care management, and patient education.

Additional responsibilities and requirements for the Oncology Navigator RN include:

  • Currently licensed in the State of Florida
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • At least 3 years of recent RN oncology experience in an acute care or outpatient setting.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing Must have 2 years of RN/Dialysis experience in a hospital setting Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date Currently licensed in the State of Florida Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred At least 3 years of recent RN oncology experience in an acute care or outpatient setting.
